Who we are

We are a non-profit organization primarily funded through the National Institutes of Health. We are highlighting our Private Donor Program, which represents a hands-on approach to helping families who wish to donate organs and tissue towards medical research. As a national organization, we work with donors and various Voluntary health organizations such as, but not limited to, the LAM treatment alliance, JDRF, ADA, and recovery partners across the country. We are working on expanding our network to better serve the families we help.

Who we are looking for

We are in need of, but not limited to: Pathologists, Pathologists’ assistants, Anatomists, Diener Services, Medical Examiners, Coroners, organ procurement and/or tissue recovery specialists or pathology residents capable of performing organ and tissue procurements for our private donor program. By becoming a recovery partner, you will be instrumental in helping families with the wish to donate and researchers who work to further understand diseases and disorders that ail the population and develop therapies and cures.

What we expect of you

As a part of our team, the independent recovery partner is expected to procure organs/tissues from donors based on their informed consent. All consents will be completed in accordance with UAGA guidelines. The recovery partner is expected to follow proper packaging and shipping procedures and completing necessary documentation on each recovery in compliance based on approved SOPs and in compliance with industry standards for tissue collection.

This is a per diem position, so it will not interfere with any fulltime commitments! We are flexible depending on your availability. This is a great learning opportunity and a way to help others. This position is an independent contractor position. Pay will vary on a per case basis depending on time, quantity and quality of work and travel time/distance.
