NDRI has unmatched experience in providing anatomical gifts for research. We have provided research centers with hundreds of thousands of biospecimens. We offer customized tissue procurement, with acquisition and processing tailored to the specific requirements of your protocol. We can provide multiple tissue types in a variety of preservation formats to meet your exact needs, with timely response to requests and 24/7 distribution. Our biorepository facility is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). What’s more, you can be confident that we maintain the highest ethical standards, including compliance with privacy, informed consent and biomaterials handing regulations as well as distribution only to approved researchers.
In addition to customizing researcher requests, NDRI has developed specific source networks for specialized areas of research. These resources include NDRI's Biospecimen Inventory that includes thousands of normal and diseased frozen and fixed samples, as well as programs to meet the needs of several research areas.
Recently, through the HTORR program that NDRI provides biomedical investigators with human organs and tissues from normal donors as well as Alzheimer’s Disease and AD-related dementia (AD/ADRD) donors using customized procurement, processing, and preservation and distribution protocols. NDRI recently received a supplemental grant from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to increase its focus on AD/ADRD.
